Twelve Trucks

What Came In

DAKS, VALENTINE and LOVCAT. Mostly small women's wallets with some bags mixed in. Twelve eleven ton trucks, around 170 pallets, all of it into our own warehouse. Wallets travel well. They are light, they stack, and a pallet of them holds a quantity that would need three pallets in outerwear.

Why Volume Like This

With season off goods the cost per piece drops hard as the quantity climbs, and this was the size of lot where it drops hardest. That is the whole argument for taking twelve trucks instead of four.

What Went Out

Three weeks and the lot was gone. Our staff loaded at the other end while I unloaded here, which is why there are almost no photos from that day. One of the more chaotic ones. The unloading ran into the night and the sorting ran into the next one.

The days worth photographing and the days worth having are rarely the same days.
