Racked To The Ceiling
What Came In
Whenever a shipment comes from the E.LAND group it arrives as a mix. Several brands at once, never one clean line, and you find out what you actually bought while you are unwrapping it. Five eleven ton trucks. Around 130 pallets.

The Problem With The Floor
Warehouse 1 is 17,800 square feet. There is no version of that floor that holds 130 pallets and still leaves a lane for a forklift. So everything went up onto the second level of the racking, and the sorting happens later, in the air, one pallet at a time.

What That Costs
Lifting first and sorting second is slower than doing it in one pass. It is also the only option when the trucks are already lined up at the door. The current site is 106,750 square feet, up from 17,800 last year, and days like this are the reason we moved.

Space is the constraint in this business far more often than stock is.
