Why Bags Go North

Bags move well toward Russia and Mongolia and the reason is not complicated. Buyers there care less about whether the name is famous and more about what the zips, the lining and the stitching look like at that money. A season off bag from a mid tier label beats a newly produced one at the same price almost every time, and they already know it.

What Happens Next

Which is why bags are the first thing they ask about, before I have said anything about what else is in the building. So the conversation usually starts from bags and works outward, and I have learned not to fight that order.

Quality per unit of money is a simpler question than brand.
