More Fixtures

The Site

Another Emart Traders store, another apparel setup. Same format as the last one, different city, largely the same build. Racking up, rails in, sizes out, signage last. By now the crew could do it without me standing there.

The Problem

I am starting to think we need to buy more apparel fixtures. The number of display sites keeps growing and racking does not multiply on its own. Right now the same fixtures travel between sites, which works until two schedules overlap and something has to be delayed for the sake of a few steel rails.

The Decision

Buying more means capital sitting in a warehouse whenever the calendar is thin. Not buying means turning down a site. Neither is free and I have not decided yet. For the moment we are renting the gap and moving fixtures overnight between two sites, which works exactly until it does not.

Growth shows up first as a shortage of something boring.
