Another Site

Another event floor, another set of fixtures out of the truck. This one has been busier than the numbers I had in my head when we signed for it.

What Has Changed

Domestic apparel distribution in Korea has been recovering since the pandemic years. Not all the way back. Compared with before, the footfall is thinner on weekdays and the customer is more deliberate about what they pick up. But the floors are running, the events are getting booked, and the buyers are calling first more often than they used to.

Where That Leaves Us

Sales have come in better than I expected here, which is a decent problem to have with a fixed term site and a fixed quantity on the floor. The stock on this floor is fixed and the lease is not going to extend itself, so the pace matters more than the total.

A market that is 70 percent of what it was still buys more than a market you talked yourself out of entering.
