The Format

Korea runs a lot of warehouse format stores and there is a reason they keep appearing. Bare racking, concrete floor, stock stacked in the boxes it arrived in.

Why It Works

The format is the message. Before anybody reads a price tag, the room has already told them this place is cheap, and it does that without a single sign making a claim that has to be defended. Fitting it out to look like a boutique would actively cost sales.

The Practical Side

Parking is wide, the sites sit where a car can reach them easily, and customers who came intending to buy in quantity have somewhere to put it. That last part matters more than anyone gives it credit for. It also suits our stock. Season off goods arrive boxed and mixed, and a format that expects that is a format we do not have to fight.
