Mud

What Happened

Heavy rain. There is a hill behind our warehouse and civil works have been running on it, so the mud came down with the water and packed our storm drain solid.

How It Got Inside

The yard alone is over 35,583 square feet. With the drain blocked it filled, kept filling, went over the sill and came into the building. By the time anyone could get out there the water was already deciding where it wanted to go.

What Now

Pallets on the floor are the immediate problem, then the mud itself, which sets like concrete once the water leaves it. Cleaning it is not a today job and probably not a this week job either. Anything on the floor g

ot lifted first, then the rest of the day went to a squeegee and a shovel.

You can insure the stock. The two days spent shovelling are not covered by anything.
